「むかし大坂で、天下をわける、大きないくさがありました。」
この絵本の元となった大坂夏の陣の話は、祖母から聞いた当時の先祖たちの体験談です。
家は曽祖父の代まで、大坂で北前船の廻船問屋をいとなんでいました。
400年前の慶長20年(1615年)5月7日に、我が菩提寺の住職は「城が落ちるさかい、早よ逃げなはれ」と、声をかけてくれた男達について燃える大坂の町をにげたそうです。
語り継がれたその話が、どうしても忘れられず、絵本にしてみようと思いました。
In the old days, a great civil war polarizing Japan into two forces broke out at Osaka.
400th anniversary of The War of the Toyotomi and Tokugawa Clans (2014-2015).
It is based on the true story 400 years ago that I heard it from a grandmother.
My family had a Kitamaebune ship.
They were merchants, not a Samurai and they participated in war of 1615.
I imagined Tennōji, Uehonmachi, Doshomachi, Kyobashi, Temma, the state of the town of Osaka at the time of collapse of the castle.

「難波戦記」は大坂の陣を経て豊臣家滅亡までを描いた合戦の物語です。
大御所・徳川家康や大坂方の英雄・真田幸村のドラマが活き活きと再現される、上方講談の旭堂南陵（きょくどう なんりょう）師匠の語りをイメージしてみました。
また、真田十勇士の一人「霧がくれ才蔵」のモデルになった伊賀忍者・隠(なば)りの才蔵とは…？三重県伊賀市の旧家より採取したエピソードです。
"Nanba senki,"is a war chronicle.
The Battle of Tennōji was fought in 1615 between the forces of Tokugawa Ieyasu and the forces of Toyotomi Hideyori.
Tokugawa was laying siege to Osaka, and Hideyori had planned a counterattack.
Both sides were plagued by mistakes until Hideyori's side finally fell. He committed suicide.The Toyotomi army suffered nearly 50% casualties in this battle, with more than 15000 dead.
This was also the final battle of Sanada Yukimura.
